Who is eligible for MBBS?
The eligibility criteria for students who wish to pursue MBBS in India are as follows: Students must have science in their 12th grade and have an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Students must be at least 17 years of age to get admission in Indian medical colleges/universities.
Students must also qualify the NEET exam with passing marks to apply for MBBS in India.
Students must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the MCI.
Steps to apply for MBBS in India The candidate must first clear the class 12 board exams from a recognized board, the major subjects being Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
After 12th, the candidate has to appear for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) to get admission in MBBS.
After clearing the NEET with at least the minimum score of 180 marks, the candidate has to fill the application form for admission in MBBS either at the state level or at the national level, depending on the state/college he/she is applying to.
Once the NEET results are declared, the respective national/state authorities conduct a counseling process.
The selected candidates have to complete the admission formalities including document verification, fee payment and registration.
The selected candidates may be required to undergo a medical examination to ensure that they meet the fitness criteria for admission in MBBS.

MBBS Admission Procedure in India

You have to complete Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Student has to qualify NEET to get admission in MBBS.
After qualifying NEET exam, students have to appear for counseling session.
There are other exams like AIIMS, JIPMER for admission in medical college.
Students can also appear for entrance exam for seven AIIMS.
