the WNBA component will be underdeveloped
It appears to be a significant improvement over the previous installment, 'NBA 2K21.'To put it mildly, the WNBA mode in NBA 2K21 was bare-bones, but 2K and Visual Concepts intend to fill out the mode for the sequel, which will be released in 2019.
