The new Skoda Kodiaq is aseven-seater SUV with enhanced aerodynamics. Furthermore, complete LED Matrix headlights are offered as an option for the first time on this massive Skoda SUV. In addition, the sporty Skoda Kodiaq RS has received a new, more powerful TSI engine as well as an aesthetic makeover. The updated Kodiaq will be available starting in 2021.

The Kodiaq SUV was a game-changer for Skoda. It was the first model in the SUV campaign, and it heralded the birth of a brand-new, rapidly expanding automotive segment. The new Skoda Kodiaq is praised by its clients and the worldwide trade press for its brand-specific characteristics, such as excellent value for money, ample room, and a wide range of accessories. In addition, Skoda improved the specification of our massive SUV with new features, including full LED Matrix lighting and ergonomic seating, delivering, even more safety and comfort.

Due to a redesigned Skoda design language, the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq appears even more dynamic and self-assured. The upgrade will be accessible starting in 2021. On the Active, Ambition, and Style models, aluminum-effect decoration on the front and rear aprons will be available, giving the SUV even more off-road appeal. Furthermore, with a higher bonnet and a reworked, more upright Skoda grille, the Kodiaq's aggressive character is reinforced.

The enormous SUV from the Czech automaker comes standard with LED headlights and can now be modified with full LED Matrix headlights for the first time. New alloy wheels enhance the car's dynamic and distinctive appearance with a diameter of up to 20 inches. Drag is reduced thanks to the new gloss black rear spoiler and finlets on the sides of the rear window and specific Aero alloys, and reworked front and back bumpers. In addition, the Kodiaq RS now sports a distinct and dynamically styled front bumper.

The interior of the Skoda Kodiaq has been upgraded with new ornamental strips, contrasting stitching, and improved LED ambient lighting functions. Ergonomic, perforated leather seats with multiway electric seat adjustment, ventilation, and massaging function are also offered as options for the massive SUV for the first time. Optional Eco seats are available on the Ambition and Style trim levels and are composed of vegan, recycled materials. The CANTON sound system now has ten speakers in addition to the central speaker in the dashboard and the subwoofer in the boot.

The Virtual Cockpit, which has a 10.25-inch display and four different layouts, is available as an option on most models but comes standard on the Kodiaq RS. The Sport layout is available on both the RS and the Kodiaq SPORTLINE. In addition, the spectrum of assistance systems has been expanded with a new version of Crew Protect Assist. More radar sensors in the back of this revised model detect vehicles that could cause a rear-end collision.

The sporty top-of-the-line Skoda Kodiaq RS has received a new engine as well as a visual makeover. The 2.0 TSI petrol engine produces 180 kW and is part of the Volkswagen Group's EVO generation (245 hp). At the same time, it is less than half the weight of the TDI. Furthermore, when paired with the new 7-speed DSG transmission, this power unit performs even better. The new EVO generation includes the 1.5 TSI, which produces 110 kW (150 hp), the 2.0 TSI, which produces 140 kW (190 hp), and the 2.0 TDIs, which create 110 kW (150 hp) and 147 kW (200 hp).

Skoda's massively successful SUV marketing began in 2016 with the introduction of the Kodiaq. The SUV's large amount of space, with a total length of 4.70 meters, is very impressive. The optional fold-out third row of seats in the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq can accommodate up to seven people. When the back seats are folded down, the boot can hold 2,065 liters.

The manufacture of the Kodiaq began in 2016 at Skoda's Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic. As part of the brand's SUV strategy, the manufacturer committed around 290 million euros to renovating this site by 2018, transforming it into a center of excellence for SUV production. In the following years, Skoda constructed production lines for its huge Kodiaq SUV in China, India, and Russia to meet the massive international demand for the Kodiaq.
