The Pittsburgh Penguins continue to hold faith in head David Johnson Jerseys coach Mike Sullivan bysigninghim to a four-year contract extension, general manager Jim Rutherford announced Friday.

Sullivan originally took over as the Penguins coach back in December 2015, when Pittsburgh was out of playoff position and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference. He helped them finish the year with a 33-16-5 record to push them into the second-place spot in the east. They went on to win the Stanley Cup.
