Rituals for Divine Feminine Energy on a Daily Basis

In business communications, it's been standard practice to urge women to avoid using exclamation points:

Delete them if you want to be taken more seriously at work. But does eliminate them—to seem less feminine, regarded thoughtfully—strengthen the myth that femininity naturally hinders our progress?

The urge to control feminine behavior does not begin or stop with punctuation. According to holistic healer Rachel Rossitto, it may deplete us physically, emotionally, and emotionally (above). While both male and feminine energies are holy, Rossitto thinks that many of us struggle to balance the two in a society that values masculine traits and activities. That's why Rossitto works with women, many of whom are corporate and community leaders to read about who are seeking to heal and reclaim what she refers to as the sacred feminine. It's a profoundly spiritual work that examines how we think about pleasure, joy, and success—and if power has to look like masculinity all of the time.

What is the difference between holy feminine and male energies? In nature, how do they exist?

Humans have extensive and complex connections with femininity and masculinity, yet these characteristics do not begin or stop with us. Instead, they coexist in ourselves and everything else.

The divine feminine energy is loving, gentle, grounded with firm boundaries, and intuitive. On the other hand, the holy male point is present, rational, and concentrated with a strong urge to defend and build. When these two energies unite inside us, they form a beautiful union that enables us to accept all that makes us human and sacred.

Q Why is it so essential to connect with the divine feminine?

Embracing the sacred feminine means ultimately recognizing one's divine nature, standing in one's authority, and contributing to a more peaceful society. Instead, it's about identifying and developing our entire spectrum of power as feminine and masculine individuals.

I see male energy in overdrive in so many of my clients: many women feel pressured to be, speak, and act masculine to achieve in their professions and life. I want to assist women in recognizing and embracing their inherent feminine energy. They may be CEOs in a society that values male traits, but that doesn't mean they can't love and use their feminine characteristics. A woman who draws her creativity and vitality from taking excellent care of herself is more powerful than one who pushes herself to the point where she is exhausted and no longer enjoys herself.

Of course, men and women may and should connect with their inner feminine and masculine selves, respectively. However, these divine energies transcend gender. Therefore, everyone, regardless of gender, can find a happy medium between the two.

Q How do you begin?

Create a morning routine that allows you to connect with your intuition, whatever that means to you. Keep it basic and let it develop organically over time. The capacity to be responsive is a crucial component. Take a few moments in the morning to center and connect with yourself, to enter a receptive state where you may listen to your heart and all of nature's knowledge. Then, you take control of your day by focusing on what aligns with your best self and highest vision.

I've discovered that beginning your day from that point eliminates a lot of the nonsense. You can go through the environment more carefully, more purposefully, and more resourced from inside rather than scurrying about like a chicken with its head cut off.
