MBA in Information Technology Admission courses is done either through entrance exams or direct admission, which is based on merit or management quota. The process generally involves 4 steps which are described below.

Register and apply for MBA Entrance Exam: One of the most important exams for MBA is CAT. Candidates can register on the official website iimcat.in. For other exams like NMAT, XAT, CMAT and SNAP, candidates will have to register separately.
Appear for MBA Entrance Exam: Appear for the respective exams and then wait for the result.
Shortlisting Process: Shortlisting will be done based on the number of students who have appeared in the exams and the number of seats available. Cut-offs for all the colleges are announced based on the highest marks in the entrance exams.
Final Admission Process – GD-PI-WAT Round: After clearing the relevant entrance exams, candidates then need to clear the GD/PI rounds as well to secure admission in top MBA colleges in Information Technology.

Eligibility for MBA in Information Technology
Students who wish to pursue an MBA in Computer Science must fulfill the various MBA eligibility criteria listed below.

Candidates must complete their studies with an aggregate score of 50% or more or an equivalent CGPA. Premier institutes like IIMs and IITs require a minimum of 60% marks.
Students from reserved categories like OBC, SC and ST are given a 5% discount in the percentage required.
In most MBA schools, final year students are also eligible to apply for MBA admissions, provided they submit a provisional certificate from the school.
